ROTI FROM LEFTOVER RICE

HOW TO USE  LEFTOVER COOKED RICE?  MAKE ROTIS!
There is always some leftover rice in my fridge and i wonder what can i make of it. Usually I fry it with some zeera and onion, you can make curd rice or even some crispy Pakoras.
We Biharis also love to make Panta Bhaat (rice soaked in water with other ingredients). I will soon be posting my recipe on this too. But today i will share how I make Rotis from leftover rice.
So let's make the most of leftover rice with this simple Roti recipe. It takes 5 minutes to make the dough and hardly 5 minutes in the Roti making process.

Ingredients
1 Cup leftover rice
4 Spoons of wheat flour(aata)
2 Spoons of gram flour(besan)
A pinch of salt
Turmeric powder
Coriander powder
Chopped green chilies
Chopped coriander leaves
2 spoon oil or ghee

Method

Grind the leftover rice in a jar. Add few spoons of water if needed to make a thick paste.
In a bowl add this rice paste.
Now add 3-4 spoons of wheat flour, gram flour or Besan, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chopped green chilies. and chopped coriander leaves.
Now add few drops of ghee or oil and make a dough.
No need to add any water.
Make instant Rotis or store in the fridge if you have to make this later.
Make small Pedas (balls) and roll with a gentle hand as they are a bit delicate than general Rotis.
You can either fry them or bake them like Rotis and add a spoon of ghee once they are done for a great taste.

NOTE: DO NOT leave outside the refrigerator for long as it will ferment and spoil because of the rice.
