Nariyal Barfi (coconut sweet)
This year post eid,I tried making Nariyal or coconut Barfi with leftover dessicated coconut in less than 30 minutes. A simple dish with amazing texture of coconut is a must try if you are running out of time. Here's a glimpse of how it turned out to be..
You can add cardamom powder to this but i chose not to because i don't like the taste of cardamom in literally every sweet dish i make. Now add this to a baking dish or any tray so that it can take the shape of a cube like a barfi generally is.At this point i grinded some dry fruits and added on top for some extra flavour. So i saw this youtube video where they made Nariyal Barfi in less than 30 minute. After the batter is ready wait for it to get solidified in the refrigerator and boom it was ready to eat. So i tried it as well. Well turned out pretty well. The taste is like any other Nariyal ka laddu we used to have as kids. So i am sure you guys are going to love it too.
Ingredients
Dessicated Coconut 2 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Milk 1/4th cup
Milk powder 1/4th cup
Process
In a wok add Dessicated coconut. Add sugar.Mix well. Now add milk and milk powder. On medium flame. And keep stirring untill your hands fall off. Just kidding it took 20 minutes untill the mixture was thick and separated from the pan.
