Tabbouleh Salad
Tabbouleh is a very popular salad in Middle Eastern cuisine. It's guilt free and super easy to make. Whenever I get bored of eating the typical cucumber and tomato salad I go for this salad packed with fibre and complex carbs. Its super nutritious and full of flavours.
Ingredients โ๐ป
Parsley (finely chopped)
Mint leaves (finely chopped)
Onion (finely chopped)
Tomato (finely chopped)
Lemon juice 2 sp
Olive oil 2 sp
Bulgur (cracked wheat half cup)
Boiling water
Salt & pepper
Pomegranate or molasses (optional)
Step 1 :Soak bulgur or cracked wheat( Daliya) in Hot water for 10 minutes.
Step 2 : Finely chop Parsley, mint leaves, onions and tomatoes. Squeeze some lemon juice.
Step 3 : When Bulgur absorbs all the water and is fluffy add it to a bowl. Add chopped veggies. You can add pomegranate molasses or the fruit itself this is optional.
Step 4 : Add lemon juice, salt ,pepper and drizzle olive oil. Mix well and refrigerate atleast 1 hour for the best flavour.

๐Do Not use coriander leaves in place of parsley. The whole flavour of this salad is because of the unique taste of parsley.
๐Use mint leaves in very less quantity as it can dominate other flavours.
๐You can eat it instantly but refrigeration gives a whole new dimension to this salad.
